Intrinsic Journey
2013 - 2019
An extensive series of photographic works were created during trips to inconspicuous,
from the point of view of conventional travelers, corners of Russia.
The object of my intense interest in these trips was unnoticeable, familiar to everyone:
monotonous courtyards, vacant lots, model houses, entrances, garages, roadside spaces,
central squares, monuments, industrial zones, and much more.
From all these elements, the matter of the geographical and mental landscape of people
living their daily lives in the post-Soviet space is tightly woven.
I deliberately do not indicate the names of the cities where the footage was shot,
but when viewing these photos, many viewers feel something familiar, close.
Some even recognize the areas of their childhood in pictures taken in different places.
